Branding for a Start Up

Create the entire package of all branding and marketing materials, including on-line and hard copy, website, social media brochures, postcards, stationery, and event promotional materials. The brand needed to be recognizable, attention grabbing, and stand out among competitors.

What We Did

Research: It is crucial to build the foundation upon which the visual language stands. At this stage, we learned everything we could about the brand. Research helped us create a comprehensive depiction of what is Aptito.

Getting to know the audience: Beyond the brand’s primary audience (customers), we also wanted to know what secondary or tertiary audiences it may reach (i.e. other brands or potential employees). Brand identity is the “face” that interacts with the entire world. We narrowed it down to the design direction that accurately reflected what the Aptito brand wanted to say and show to its customers.

Getting to know the competition: We looked specifically at how competitors present themselves in terms of common visual elements, trends, industry-specific visual themes, brand personalities, etc.

Visual Ideation: Between the competitive analysis, customer feedback, and internal surveys – that’s a lot of data on our hands.  This is where we took that research-based information and translated it into visual concepts with attention to detail: typography, color platters, iconography, and data visualization elements.

Building The Brand Style Guideline: We included clear, easy-to-follow guidelines for every part of the brand identity, together with examples and use-cases. This also included practical detail, as well as denoting as much information as needed to help the user replicate the brand identity successfully.
